Selina Schmeck to go to Kenya, Africa on a mission trip

Selina is back from her mission trip with the youth group from Midway Baptist Church. As you can see from the journal entry and pictures (below), it was a very rewarding trip. She helped less fortunate schools there and provided them with some of the things we take for granted and helped spread God's word. Besides the hard work, she got to sight see, experience the culture and go on a safari. She spent the nights in the homes of local families. This was a life changing experience for Selina and SBA hopes others on the team will share similar experiences (and maybe Selina has more pictures to share!).
June 16- Well I am finally in Africa. I've smelled the air , stepped on the soil and can things be any better? "Thank you" doesn't even began to express what I feel inside, I am so grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be in this beautiful land. Sean Koonce, our leader, said once "Africa does things to you." - I must say that couldn't be any truer. I took one look around and I fell in love, I fell in love with the smiles of the kids, I fell in love with the hope in their eyes that so few people have. The land and it's beauty is unforgettable. "God, "I say to myself, "change me".
