What do 14 of the 16 individual event winners at the 2006 Mesa League Championships have in common?  They all call South Bay Aquatics home and train with the club year round.  The unified multi-pool club attracts swimmers from Chula Vista, National City, Bonita, Imperial Beach, Coronado, Eastlake, Rolling Hills, Otay Ranch, and other south San Diego cities with it's excellent coaching staff and well established multi-level program. 

South Bay Aquatics has a 50 year history of developing young novice swimmers into highly competitive swimmers.  Beginner swimmers start at one of the clubs many developmental programs held at various pools in the south bay and develop the technique and endurance required to compete in the four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke).  As their skills improve the swimmers are constantly evaluated and moved to more challenging programs to meet their full growth potential.

The consistent output of this long standing swimming program are the top high school swimmers in South San Diego.  Many of these swimmers go on to college on swimming scholarships due in large part to the positive life-long values of self-discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition inculcated during their years with SBA.  The times posted by the following swimmers are a direct result of their long term dedication and loyalty to a superb swimming program.
